Oct 21st Emley U 19 v Guiseley U 19

The Under 19s continued their unbeaten run and moved to the top of the table with this victory over a young Guiseley side. Michael Crosse opened the scoring after a great move involving Arran Horton, Glynn Proctor and Craig Hitchen. Hitchen then scored the second with a thunderous header from a corner.  Crosse (2)  went on to complete  a hat trick while Tom Appleton, returning from injury, scored the fifth and Richard Kettlewell bundled in the sixth. Glynn Proctor looked cultured in the centre of midfield and Hitchen was at his powerful best.

Result: Emley U 19 6 - 0 Guiseley U 19

Oct 8th Harrogate Railway U 19 v Emley U 19

Emley secured their 3rd victory and fourth unbeaten game.

With Craig Hitchen and Michael Crosse looking strong up front and Glynn Proctor and Richard Kettlewell controlling midfield and Nick Attardo and Arran Horton probing the flanks, it was no surprise when Crosse scored his first goal for the club. Sean Castle then became joint top scorer with a header from a corner. Craig Hitchen scored the first of his brace when he smashed the ball into the net from close range and Hitchen then hit a 30 yard shot over the goalkeeper who had strayed too far off his line. Substitute Rob Pacey had an impressive game at centre back

Result: Harrogate Railway 1 - 4 Emley

Emley U 19 v Ossett Albion U 19

Emley got off to a poor start and conceded an early goal, despite a fantastic reaction save from Lee Cockerham; only for the ball to rebound off the Ossett forward's shin and into the net. Emley couldn't penetrate the visitors, even with Craig Hitchen dominant in midfield and Nick Attardo and Arran Horton prompting down the flanks.

Ossett tired in the second half and Emley equalised through Sean Castle. Michael Crosse could have won the match but he saw the ball late and it cannoned of his foot for a goal kick. Richard Kettlewell produced a fine save from the Ossett goalkeeper in the dying minutes. All in all it was two points lost rather than one gained.

Result:  Emley U 19 1 - 1 Ossett Albion U 19

Emley U 19 v Penrith U 19

The under 19s continued their League programme with their second win on the trot.Penrith battles hard and were uncompromising in their challenges. Emley had control of the game but couldn't take their chances. Nick Attardo penetrated down the right but Michael Crosses's first touch drove him wide of the goal with the keeper to beat. The goal was scored by centre back Sean Castle who met Arran Horton's corner at the near post and headed in.

Cross was put through by Tom Appleton in the second half and he pulled his shot wide with the goalkeeper helpless. New signing Chris Hilse came on the right with Attardo impressing more in the centre of midfield, with a show of controlled football and aggresive tackling. Goalkeeper lee Cockerham made a rare error of judgement but recovered superbly with a reflex save to make sure Penrith had a long unhappy journey home.

Result: Emley U 19 1 - 0 Penrith U 19
