Emley Res v Harrogate Railway
Reserves
Snow, Snow and the ground staff are the
winners.
The groundstaff cleared most of the snow off the pitch in the morning but there will still patches and the ground was very wet. With the first team having no game some of the regulars came along hoping to see the Reserves clinch a win against the top team and alleviate some of the feelings suffered watching the first team! However, an out of form Reserves side were rolled over by an experienced Harrogate team; their own first team game had been postponed and it seemed they have drafted some players into the squad as they looked to take a massive step towards the title. A defensive blunder gave Harrogate the lead midway through the first half. Emley's only chance fell in the 25th min to captain Nathan Hazleden but the Harrogate skipper cleared the ball. Harrogate took control after the break and extended their lead through 2 further goals. Result: Emley Res 0 - 3 Harrogate Railway Res To have any chance of stopping Harrogate winning the title Emley would need a similar result at Harrogate next Saturday |
