Reserves Beat Guiseley in League Cup

Wakefield's reserve side are through to the next round of the Galaxy Football Lancashire League Cup after a 2-1 home win against Guiseley.

Elliott Firth scored both Wakefield's goals to put them through.

Wakefield FC player/assistant manager Will Ryder featured in the game, as part of his comeback from a long term injury. Ryder was hoping to be ready to play Evo-Stik football before the end of the season, but was feeling his injury after the match; it seems increasingly likely that Wakefield supporters will have to wait until the next campaign to see the midfielder wear a first team shirt once more.
