These are longer than the official directions but more straight forward

Ground: Hurst Cross, Surrey Street, Ashton Under Lyne  Tel:  0161 339 4158

Take M 62 West from est Yorkshire to Junction 18. 
Join M 60 (East and South) and leave at Junction 23
From the slip road turn left signposted Ashton A 635
As you approach Ashton you reach a large roundabout with a garage and large church on your right and the large Police Station on your left.
Proceed straight ahead onto the Ashton bypass, signed A 635 Sheffield and Barnsley.
At next roundabout keep straight ahead on A 635.
At the next roundabout there is another large church on your left and a large building in the centre.
As you go round take the road signposted Mossley.
After a couple of hundred yards you reach a tight junction
Turn right onto the A 670 signposted Mossley.
Continue for approx half a  mile, you will come to a crossroads (New Inn on the corner)
Turn left at traffic lights onto Queens Road B 6194
Follow this road towards Oldham for half a mile.
At the second set of lights you will come to large Memorial Cross
Turn left then immediate right to the ground.

Alternative: 
Leave Holmfirth and take A 635 over the moors to Greenfield.
When you have descended the hill to Geenfield take the right turn at the roundabout by the pub and follow Chew Valley Road, A 669 signposted Oldham.
At the end of this road there is an S bend up past Greenfield Railway Station.
At the top of the hill turn sharp left over the railway bridge and continue for about half a mile until you reach the Farrarr Arms pub on your right.
Continue straight ahead on the A 670 signposted Mossley.
When you reach Mossley centre follow the one way system up the hill signpost Ashton.
Come down the hill past the Stalybridge Juniors ground on your left and a school on your left.
You eventually reach a set of traffic lights (New Inn on the corner)
Turn right onto Queens Road B 6194
Follow this road towards Oldham for half a mile.
At the second set of lights you will come to large Memorial Cross
Turn left then immediate right to the ground.

Scenic Route via Woodhead Pass

Join the Woodhead Pass A 628 at either Penistone or via Dunford Bridge
As you reach Woodhead take left turn over reservoir bridge onto B 6105 signposted Glossop.
Continue on the B 6105 straight into Glossop and you come to traffic lights with railway station on
the right.
Carry on straight ahead at the lights onto A 624 signposted Chapel en le Frith. 
Keep on A 624 up steep hill and then down steep hil, through Hayfield, then up another steep hill
 and again down a steep hill.
Turn left at a railway bridge towards Chapel en le Frith.
At the roundabout by the Ferrodo works take 1st exit to another roundabout and join the Chapel en 
le Frith bypass (A 6 ) – signed Buxton
Follow the A 6 to Buxton, past a golf course and drop down a steep hill
At roundabout by railway viaduct turn left towards Matlock on A 6.
At Safeway roundabout take 2nd exit (right) on the B5059  (signposted Poole's Cavern and Country
Park)
Turn right onto High Street (at London Road Lights) - the A515
Turn right on Buxton Market at Joe Royle's shop.
Turn left onto Concert Place then Hardwick Square South.
Continue forward onto Silverlands. 
Ground is on the right after 400 metres.. (opposite Derbyshire Police Station.)

The Ground is only ½ mile from railway station

Frickley Athletic

From North:  M62 East to A1. Leave at Junction 33, follow signs A1(South) Doncaster. 
Leave A1 at first exit after 'Trusthouse Forte', follow signs South Kirby, then for South Elmsall.
In town centre near Market Place, travel along Westfield Lane. 
Drive past Oxford Street and carry on up Westfield Lane until you see a sign on the left pointing to the ground.
Follow the sign and the ground's car park is on the right at the top road.

Ground is 2 mile from South Elmsall railway station (wouldn't seem that far - it is walkable!)

My Directions:

I get lost every time I try to get to Frickley so I find the best way is to go past the Belle Vue ground!!
This is longer than other routes, shorter than the official directions but easier than the straight cross
country route. 

Take A 638 out of Wakefield, past Belle Vue and bear right at junction with A 645, follow signpost to Doncaster. 
Stay on A 638 past Nostell Priory and through Ackworth.
At Upton / North Elmsall turn right onto B 6474 towards South Elmsall and proceed into town centre.
Turn left up Westfield Lane in town centre.
The ground is signposted on the left after about 1/2 mile.

Take M 62 to Junction 25 and join M 606 signposted Bradford.
Exit at virtually the end of the motorway and follow signs for the Leeds / Bradford airport on the A 6177 Bradford outer ring road. 
Turn right onto the A 658 and down steep hill, past Sainsburys to Greengates traffic lights. Straight across at lights through Apperley Bridge and up steep hill.
Near the top of the hill branch to the left, signposted Guiseley and Ilkley.
Turn left at roundabout to join A 65 at Rawdon.
Keep on A 65 to Guiseley.
 Keep following Ilkley signs and the ground is on the right. If you miss the ground continue onto the Harry Ramsden Roundabout, circle the roundabout and retrace to ground.  

Alternative:

M62  to Junction 27 then take M 621 towards Leeds.
If using M1 North to Junction 43 and then take M 621 towards Leeds. 
Leave M 621 at Junction 2 (Leeds United’s Elland Road Ground).
Follow the road towards Leeds Centre (following the brown headingly Stadium signs) and go round the Armley gyratory (roundabout!) towards Leeds Centre.
Just as the road becomes the A 58M, take slip road to join A 65 signposted Ilkley.
Continue on A 65 past Kirkstall to meet the Leeds outer Ring Road at Horsforth.
Straight ahead at roundabout on A 65 signposted Ilkley.
Pass through Rawdon and straiogh ahead at roundabout.
Then as above.

Ground: New Manor Ground, Awsworth Road, Ilkeston Tel: 01159 324094 

Take M 1 south to Junction 26.
Leave Motorway and take A 610 signposted Ripley.
Leave the A 610 at the first exit onto the A 6096 signed Awsworth/Ilkeston. 
At the next island join the Awsworth by-pass, signed A 6096 Ilkeston.
Continue for approx. half a mile and turn right into Awsworth Road.
Small signpost marked Cotmanhay.
The ground is half a mile down this road on the left hand side.

Railway Station: Langley Mill   3 miles – not feasible

Take M 62 West from West Yorkshire
Leave M 62 at Junction 18 and take M 60 via East Manchester, Stockport etc to Junction 4
Follow M 56 signs for North Wales, Chester etc
Continue past Manchester Airport until you reach Junction 7. Turn off M 56 and follow signs for Northwich on A 556.
Turn left at traffic lights onto A 50 signed Knutsford and Macclesfield.
Stay on A 50 through Knutsford signposted Macclesfield
When reaching Macclesfield  take A523 signposted Leek /Buxton.
Follow A 523  to Leek.
Ground is situated on the right as you come into Leek. 

Nearest railway station is 7.3 miles from the ground at Congleton but best bet would be to alight at
Macclesfield and catch a bus

Join Woodhead Pass A 628 at either Pensitone or via Dunford Bridge
As you reach Woodhead take left turn over reservoir bridge onto B 6105 signposted Glossop.
Continue on B 6105 straight into Glossop and you come to traffic lights with railway station on the right.
Straight ahead at lights onto A 624 signposted Chapel en le Frith. Turn left at railway bridge onto A6 and join Chapel en le Frith bypass at roundabout by Ferrodo works – signed Buxton
Follow A 6 to Buxton past golf course and drop down steep hill
At roundabout by railway viaduct turn towards Buxton and then turn right on ring road and pass in front of railway station.
Follow signs A 53 signed posted Leek. Go up steep hill and continue on A 53
Go over moors (The Roaches) and then drop down steep hill towards Leek.
Continue straight ahead at traffic lights through Leek.
As you start going down a hill bear to the right onto the A 523 signed Macclesfield.
Ground is on the left opposite a chemical works

Take M1 South via Meadowhall, Sheffield and leave at Junction 31.
Take 1^st exit to join A 57, signposted Worksop.
Travel via South Anston for approximately 7 miles to join Worksop bypass at roundabout – signposted A1.
Continue on A 57  Worksop bypass to join A1 (South)
Leave A1 and follow A 57 signposted to Lincoln
On outskirts of Lincoln join Lincoln Relief Road (A46) SOUTH ie right - until reaching roundabout with exit for Birchwood.
Take this exit which is Skellingthorpe Road for approximately 1 mile.
At 30 mph sign turn right into Ashby Avenue.
Entrance to ground is 200 yards on right.  

Ground is 3 mile from Lincoln Central railway station - you would need to get a bus.

Marine

Take M62 West (changes to M60 West at Junction 18 - go straight ahead) and then join the M 62 West again at Junction 12 - tricky intersection to the right (basically the old M62).
When approaching Liverpool come off the M62 at Junction 6 and join the M57. Travel to the end of the M57 (Junction 7).  
Then follow the A 5036 signs for Crosby and Marine FC, left at the end of the motorway -  (there is one tricky roundabout on this road).
At next roundabout, take final exit (signposted Crosby) onto the A 565 – again a tricky junction you could finish up in the docks!  
After a mile or two you will see a large, ornate College building on your left. Turn left here; this is College Road. Continue along here and ground is on the left.

Its virtually impossible to park at the ground, but you should find a spot in the surrounding back-streets.

Ground is a 10 mins walk from Crosby and Blundellsands railway station (Mersey Rail)

Take M 1 South and exit at Junction 28.
Take A 38 signposted Derby and follow for approx 2 miles.
Leave A 38 when signed for A 61 - signposted Chesterfield and Matlock.
Turn left onto A 615 signposted Matlock 
On entering Matlock the ground is on the right, 500 yards from town centre.

Matlock railway station is approx 500 yards from ground

Alternative: Probably more direct but you have to negotiate Chesterfield centre:

Exit M 1 at Junction 30
This is a tricky junction – at the roundabout veer to the left until you reach another roundabout
Join the A 619 to Chesterfield.
Take A 61 into Chesterfield 
Follow A 619 again signposted Baslow and Bakewell
Take left turn onto A 632 signposted Matlock
At Matlock take right turn onto A 615 towards town centre

Take M 62 East from West Yorkshire 
Follow all the way to the end and then it becomes the A63, about 12 miles from Hull.
Keep heading on towards Hull, getting into the right hand lane at or just after the traffic lights at
Melton. (Take care at these lights. People often hit them too fast, their minds still in motorway mode,
and end up coming a cropper.)

Once past the lights, you are almost there.
Look out for and exit at the turn off for Ferriby on the right.
Follow this road all the way around until you get past the Duke of Cumberland Pub.
There is a crossroads just after the pub, turn right down Church Road.
Follow the road down, past the Church, and you will eventually come upon a sign for the ground on your left, just before the overhead rail bridge.

It is usually best to find somewhere to park on Church Road, as the carpark down Grange Lane fills up fast. From the top of Grange Lane it is a short walk past the allotments to the ground.

From Huddersfield:
Take A 642 from Huddersfield and travel via Lepton, Grange Moor roundaboutand  Middlestown to Horbury Bridge. At Horbury Bridge go through railway viaduct and traffic lights. There is then a pub on the LEFT hand side.
Take left turn just before the pub and follow the road  which winds up the hillside.
This eventually gets to a junction with the B 6128. Turn left at the T junction and drive past Dimple Wells Hotel. Shortly after the signpost to Ossett Albion’s ground turn left into Prospect Road. Follow this road ahead at a mini roundabout and reach the Bus Station. Ground is opposite Bus Station

Take M 62 West from West Yorkshire (changes to M60 West at Junction 18 - go straight ahead) and then join the M 62 West again at Junction 12 - tricky intersection to the right (basically the old M62).
 When approaching Liverpool come off the M62 at Junction 7 and follow A 57 signposted Prescot.
After approximately 2½ miles reach a roundabout. Take 3^rd exit.
After a further ½ mile, turn right at Hope and Anchor pub into Hope Street.
Ground is facing straight ahead.

There is a railway station at Prescot only 1/2 mile from the ground

Whitby Town

M62 to M1 then north to join A1 North
Exit at A64 towards York and Scarborough and by pass York on the ring road.
At end of York ring road continue on A 64 single carriage way road to reach Malton.
Continue on dual carriage bypass until you come to the A169. Take this road towards Pickering. 
Straight across at small roundabout in Pickering until eventually you come to (after 20 miles of moorland) Sleights.
Go through Sleights up a steep hill to a new roundabout at the junction with the A171. Turn right and then first left to Whitby.  
Follow this road until you come to a garage called Arundals, a DIY shop called the Handyman store and turn left opposite the Spar shop (signposted Sandsend). 
Follow this road to another T junction with the A174. Turn right, and follow this road for about 1 mile and the ground is on your left after the garage/off license.
