As you approach Ashton you reach a large roundabout with a garage and
large church on your right and the large Police Station on your left.
Proceed straight ahead onto the Ashton bypass, signed A 635 Sheffield and
Barnsley.
At next roundabout keep straight ahead on A 635.
At the next roundabout there is another large church on your left and a
large building in the centre.
As you go round take the road signposted Mossley.
After a couple of hundred yards you reach a tight junction
Turn right onto the A 670 signposted Mossley.
Continue
for approx half a mile, you will come to a crossroads (New Inn on
the corner)
Turn left at traffic lights onto Queens Road B 6194
Follow this road towards Oldham for half a mile.
At the second set of lights you will come to large Memorial Cross
Turn left then immediate right to the ground.
Alternative:
Leave Holmfirth and take A
635 over the moors to Greenfield.
When you have descended the hill to Geenfield take the right turn at the
roundabout by the pub and follow Chew Valley Road, A 669 signposted
Oldham.
At the end of this road there is an S bend up past Greenfield Railway
Station.
At the top of the hill turn sharp left over the railway bridge and
continue for about half a mile until you reach the Farrarr Arms pub on
your right.
Continue straight ahead on the A 670 signposted Mossley.
When you reach Mossley centre follow the one way system up the hill
signpost Ashton.
Come down the hill past the Stalybridge Juniors ground on your left and a
school on your left.
You eventually reach a set of traffic lights (New Inn on the corner)
Turn right onto
Queens Road B 6194
Follow this road towards Oldham for half a mile.
At the second set of lights you will come to large Memorial Cross
Turn left then immediate right to the ground.

Keep on A 624 up steep hill and then down steep hil, through Hayfield, then up

and again down a steep hill.
Turn left at a railway bridge towards Chapel en le Frith.
At the roundabout by the Ferrodo works take 1st exit to another roundabout and
join the Chapel en
le Frith bypass (A 6 ) – signed Buxton
Follow the A 6 to Buxton, past a golf course and drop down a steep hill
At roundabout by railway viaduct turn left towards Matlock on A 6.

After approx ½ mile, on a sharp right hand bend, take the turning left into
Nelson Road.
Ground is 100 yards on the left (at the corner of Nelson Road and Park Avenue)
Ground is approximately 5 miles from Poulton le Fylde railway station but you
can catch a tram from and to Blackpool.

My Directions:
I
get lost every time I try to get to Frickley so I find the best way is to
go past the Belle Vue ground!!
This is longer than other routes, shorter than the official directions but
easier than the straight cross
country route.
Take
A 638 out of Wakefield, past Belle Vue and bear right at junction with A
645, follow signpost to Doncaster.
Stay on A 638 past Nostell Priory and
through Ackworth.
At Upton / North Elmsall turn right onto B 6474 towards
South Elmsall and proceed into town centre.
Turn left up Westfield Lane in
town centre.
The ground is signposted on the left after about 1/2 mile.

traffic lights. Straight across at lights through Apperley Bridge and up steep
hill.
Near the top of the hill branch to the left, signposted Guiseley and Ilkley.
Turn left at roundabout to join A 65 at Rawdon.
Keep on A 65 to Guiseley.
Keep following Ilkley signs and the
ground is on the right. If you miss the ground continue onto the Harry Ramsden
Roundabout, circle the roundabout and retrace to ground.
Alternative:

to Junction 27 then take M 621
towards Leeds.
If using M1 North to Junction 43 and then take M 621 towards Leeds.
Leave M 621 at Junction 2 (Leeds United’s Elland Road Ground).
Follow the road towards Leeds Centre (following the brown headingly Stadium
signs) and go round the Armley gyratory (roundabout!) towards Leeds Centre.
Just as the road becomes the A 58M, take slip road to join A 65 signposted
Ilkley.
Continue on A 65 past Kirkstall to meet the Leeds outer Ring Road at Horsforth.
Straight ahead at roundabout on A 65 signposted Ilkley.
Pass through Rawdon and straiogh ahead at roundabout.
Then as above.

Take M62

When approaching Liverpool come off the M62 at Junction 6 and join the M57.
Travel to the end of the M57 (Junction 7).
Then
follow the A 5036 signs for Crosby and Marine FC, left at the end of the
motorway - (there is one tricky
roundabout on this road).
At next roundabout, take final exit (signposted
Crosby) onto the A 565 – again a tricky junction you could finish up in the
docks!
After a
mile or two you will see a large, ornate College building on your left. Turn
left here; this is College Road. Continue along here and ground is on the left.
Its
virtually impossible to park at the ground, but you should find a spot in the
surrounding back-streets.
Ground is a 10 mins walk from Crosby and Blundellsands railway station (Mersey
Rail)

Take M 62 East from West Yorkshire
Follow all the way to the end and then it becomes the A63, about 12 miles
from Hull.
Keep heading on towards Hull, getting into the right hand lane at or just
after the traffic lights at
Melton. (Take care at these lights. People often hit them too fast, their
minds still in motorway mode,
and end up coming a cropper.)
Once past the lights, you are almost there.
Look out for and exit at the turn off for Ferriby on the right.
Follow this road all the way around until you get past the Duke of
Cumberland Pub.
There is a crossroads just after the pub, turn right down Church Road.
Follow the road down, past the Church, and you will eventually come upon a
sign for the ground on your left, just before the overhead rail bridge.
It is usually best to find somewhere to park on Church Road, as the
carpark down Grange Lane fills up fast. From the top of Grange Lane it is
a short walk past the allotments to the ground.
The ground is only 0.2 miles from Ferriby
railway station. You need to change at Brough for Ferriby
The ground is to the North East of the station. Once out of the station,
follow the first road on the right, you will come out on Church Road,
Grange Lane is only a couple of hundred yards down the road and to your
right.

Take A 642 from
Huddersfield and travel via Lepton, Grange Moor roundaboutand
Middlestown to Horbury Bridge. At Horbury Bridge go through railway

Take left turn just before the pub and follow the road
which winds up the hillside.
This eventually gets to a junction with the B 6128. Turn left at the T
junction and drive past Dimple Wells Hotel. Shortly after the signpost to
Ossett Albion’s ground turn left into Prospect Road. Follow this road
ahead at a mini roundabout and reach the Bus Station. Ground is opposite
Bus Station
From
Wakefield:

road to Huddersfield and after approx 1 mile follow short 1 way system to
join the A 638 road signposted Dewsbury and M 1.
When reaching M
1 proceed across the roundabout an take exit signposted

Take first left off A638 onto Wakefield Road, sixth left turn into Dale
Street. Proceed to traffic lights in Town Centre. Turn left at lights. The
Ground is in front of you opposite the bus station. The entrance to the
Ground is just before the Esso petrol station.

Sleights up a steep hill to a new roundabout at the junction with the A171. Turn
right and then first left to Whitby.
Follow this road until you come to a garage called Arundals, a DIY shop
called the Handyman store and turn left opposite the Spar shop (signposted
Sandsend).
Follow this road to another T junction with the A174. Turn right, and
follow this road for about 1 mile and the ground is on your left after the
garage/off license.
